Data management

The data centre of the FORALLVENT-study is located at the Institute of Epidemiology, University of Ulm, Germany.

All data – generated by participants questioning, investigation or analyses of biological material (e.g. blood, dust or milk samples) – is entered and/or processed in Ulm. Final data sets, after plausibility checking and transfer into statistical software packages, are supplied for study executives. Study monitoring is performed on centre level and participation and compliance are reported to the data centre. Availability and transport of questionnaires and samples is centrally monitored in Ulm.

In Ulm, expert knowledge in epidemiological and statistical methods, study performance, and data management is concentrated. A team of 2 epidemiologists, 2 data managers, 1 system administrator and a pool of trainees and assistants is in charge of the project.
