Scope of the workshop
Complementarily fitting into the unique FORALLVENT concept, the aim of this first milk workshop was to brainstorm and to stimulate discussion on
- the role of milk composition, milk production and milk technology on the development or prevention of allergies, and
- immunological, epidemiological and medical issues related to this topic.
Renowned experts from different disciplines (milk and dairy science, nutrition, toxicology, processing technology, pediatrics, epidemiology, allergology, communication) had been selected and invited to contribute to the programme, either as speakers and/or as members of the discussion panel. The workshop was carried out under confidentiality. Owing to the diverse array of expertise contributed to this event, the topic could be nicely illuminated from different perspectives. Moreover, common understanding of facts and questions around different disciplines were promoted also stimulating a high degree of interdisciplinarity. More
